We made it home from New Jersey last Thursday, after our three-day drive. Scooby-Boo was glad to see Lily Munster . . .

. . . but it wasn't long before Lily Munster was tuckered out and needed a nap:

After a couple days' rest, we traveled to the Houghton Lake Public Library yesterday. For a couple of years, I lived in the Houghton Lake area, and it was good to be back . . .

Lots of Christmas shopping . . .

My good friend Dean Wallison and his son dropped by . . .

This was cool. See . . . we were supposed to go out to dinner with Mrs. Bauchan from the library. However, the weather was bad (and getting worse) and we had a long drive home, so we took a raincheck for dinner. Well, Mrs. Bauchan and the great people at Houghton Lake Public Library weren't going to let us go home hungry! They made a special box lunch for us, and we snacked all the way home. (It was delicious, and we made it home safe and sound!)

Thanks to Mrs. Bauchan and everyone at the Houghton Lake Public Library for their hospitality, and thanks to everyone who braved the storm to come out!
Next stop: Meijer in Saginaw, Michigan, this Saturday from 10-2. See you there!
Best wishes, happy reading, and . . . WRITE ON!
