Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!
Before I tell you about the past few days, I want to offer a special 'hello and thank you!' to everyone who has e-mailed wishing me a happy birthday today! I can't believe it . . . I'm finally sixteen. While I won't be able to respond to everyone's e-mails, I have been reading each and every one. Thank you all so very much!
Earlier in the week, some friends drove up to Chillermania! to pick up a load of over 2,000 Chillers! I donated these books to Toys for Tots in the tri-cities area of Michigan. I know they'll find their way into the hands of some very happy readers this holiday season. Here I am with Mike Roche and his son, Kristofer . . .

Kristofer, hard at work . . .

Earlier in the week, we had to break the bad news to Scooby-Boo: we were heading for New Jersey, and she wasn't invited (although Lily would be coming with us.) This was her reaction:

Yesterday afternoon, we loaded up the new Chillers van (we had to get a bigger one!) and headed for Maumee, Ohio, for the first of our three-day drive . . .

On the way, we stopped in Fenton, Michigan, where we met our friend Dana Beagle. Mrs. Beagle is holding an American Chillers book fair at a couple of schools around her area. If you're interested in having an American Chillers book fair at your school, have someone from your school call my office at (888) 420-4244 and ask about it!

The Beagle family gave Lily Munster one of her favorite toys: anything with a squeaky!

This morning, at our hotel in Ohio, Lily Munster didn't want to get out of bed . . .

We left our hotel around noon and made it to Pittsburgh around four o'clock. Hanging here today, and we'll head for New Jersey tomorrow morning. I'll be speaking at a bunch of schools in the Medford, New Jersey area for over a week. Can't wait to meet everyone!
Thanks for checking in . . . more updates from the road all week long!
Best wishes, happy reading, and . . . WRITE ON!
