Greetings from our home in northern Michigan, after spending a few SUPER days in Lafayette, Indiana!

Now . . . here's how our trip to Lafayette came about:
Abby Hart vacations in Michigan, and, when she was there a couple of years ago, she read a few of my Michigan Chillers. Well, she took them back to Lafayette, where her friends Case Bosma and Steven Deckard also got hooked on my books! The three students began a petition, getting other students at Hershey Elementary to sign it. The petition requested that Johnathan Rand visit their school! Well, needless to say, the whole school got involved, including the Hershey Elementary PTA . . . and they made it happen!

Abby, Steven, and Case: THANK YOU! YOUR GUYS ARE AWESOME! I was honored to visit your school today! Thank you SO MUCH for intviting us!
Here I am on stage, being greeted by Abby, Case, and Steven . . .

Everyone at Hershey learned how to do the 'Spooky Laugh' so they could write their own scary stories . . .

After the assembly, I presented Abby, Case, and Steven with their very own 'Author Quest' mugs!

Hey . . . what's going on here?!?!

Jake made his own American Chillers shirt!

Our trip to Lafayette, Indiana, was awesome! Thanks again to Abby, Case and Steven . . . special thanks to the Hershey Elementary PTA and school faculty. Lots of moms and dads came to see the assembly today . . . thank you, too!
Scooby-Boo and Lily Munster are wiped out after our short road trip. All this travel really takes is out of a pooch, and they slept in the van most of the way home . . .

Here's a book update: I'm finished with American Chillers #21: Terrifying Toys of Tennessee, and I've already started on #22 on the drive home, writing in the passenger seat while Mrs. Chillers drove. (I'm keeping the title a secret, for now. Check back soon to find out what it is!)And don't forget: if you're in the Michigan Tri-Cities area, you can read my new book 'The Ghost of Gratiot Road' in the Saginaw News and Bay City Times. Look for a new chapter each Tuesday, beginning on September 11th! (As of now, there are no plans to publish this book in any other media, so don't look for it on the bookstore shelves anytime soon!)
Best wishes, happy reading, and . . . WRITE ON!
